ABOUT
Jaimee Jimin Park is an acclaimed composer from South Korea, currently based in Los Angeles. With an impressive and dynamic career in composing for film, television, video games, commercials, and animated projects, Jaimee is celebrated for her ability to craft immersive, textural soundscapes inspired by compelling visuals and storytelling. Her work draws upon a solid foundation in classical music, blending tradition with innovation to create a distinct musical voice.
In 2023, Jaimee was selected as one of ten composers for Spot The Composer, presented at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Her recent collaborations include scoring the award-winning feature film D.O.A. (2022), written by N. Griffin (Matchstick Men, 2003), and contributing music to the popular RPG Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure (2023), earning her a nomination for Best Original Soundtrack at the World Soundtrack Awards 2024. Jaimee’s expertise in orchestration has led her to contribute to major titles, such as Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024), Planet Earth III (2023), and Renfield (2023).
Beyond her film and game scoring achievements, Jaimee’s commercial work includes a standout McDonald’s radio campaign (McDrive, 2017) in South Korea. She holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music and has trained at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle. Jaimee began her formal education with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from Seoul National University, South Korea’s most prestigious conservatory, where she also won the Contemporary Music Society Competition.
