ABOUT
Jaimee Jimin Park is a Los Angeles based composer from South Korea. Jaimee has established a widespread and dynamic career in the field of music for Films, TV Shows, Video Games, Commercials as well as Animated Films that has captured audience attention internationally. Visuals and stories are her passion and inspiration to create her unique textural soundscape with her deep foundation in musicality developed from classical music.
Most recently, Jaimee was selected as one of ten composers on a privileged panel to present Spot The Composer 2023, run by Cannes Film Festival. She has collaborated with ample filmmakers for a variety of projects, including a multiple award-winning feature D.O.A (2022), written by N.Griffin who wrote Ridley Scott’s Matchstick Men (2003). In addition to her film scores, her work for one of the most popular RPG Video Games for Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure (2023) earned her a nomination for Best Original Soundtrack at Game Music Award, World Soundtrack Awards 2024. Jaimee’s proficient skills in orchestration led her to contribute to top films and TV shows including Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024), Planet Earth III (2023) and Renfield (2023). Aside from her fruitful career in media composition, Jaimee has also been recognized for her commercial work for McDonalds’ radio advertisement (McDrive, 2017) broadcasted in South Korea.
Jaimee completed her Master of Music degree at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle. She has a Bachelor of Contemporary Music degree at Seoul National University, which is the most prestigious conservatoire in South Korea. She is a winner of Contemporary Music Society Competition in South Korea.
